Taking your nieces and nephews out for dinner is a fun treat for everyone involved. But it's also important to remember that not everyone has dinner, or company to enjoy it with.

Take your nieces and nephews with you as part of a Meals on Wheels-type program to deliver meals to the elderly and infirmed. Hopefully, you'll also get a chance to keep your new friends company as they enjoy dinner.

After the dinner, have the kids make a card or write a note to the recipient of the meal telling them how much they enjoyed their company (assuming they did) and include a drawing or art project.
