My buggy's 1st birthday is coming up in less than 3 weeks! It's bitter sweet for me. I love her so much I don't want her to be a big girl. I want her to stay my little buggy forever. But it's fun to see her grow and learn and figure things out. <3 I've been asking my sister-in-law (her mother) about planning her party for over 2 months now!!! Every time I bring it up she won't respond to it or just blows it off. I'm afraid that my love's birthday is going to come and go and there will be no party. So I've decided to make my own mini birthday party. I have yet to decide if it'll only be me, Al and the baby. Us, the baby and her sisters. Or us, the baby, her sisters and her parents. But I guess I have a couple more weeks to decide. I'm going to just get everything together and decide last minute. I figure by then Sarah will have mentioned her party or not. I've toned it down since it's only a mini party and not her actual birthday party where everyone will be. But I wanted to throw her a mermaid swimming party! It'll be so cute. This morning I went ahead and ordered a baby mermaid table cloth, hanging decorations and a matching cupcake holder. I'm thinking I'll buy another solid ocean-y colored table cloth along the napkins, plates and cuts. I volunteered Al to bake her cupcakes and made-from-scratch cookies. The cookies will be sugar cookies and I've already bough cookie cutters in the shape of a mermaid, starfish and seashell! Then I'll decorate the cookies with colored sugar. I'm thinking chocolate covered fruit. I think she'll like that. It'll be healthy from the fruit and she loves chocolate. Then I'll buy her presents to keep at my house. (Taking them home she'll never see them again. But that's a whole 'nother post.) I plan to take lots of pictures.
