After one crazy emotional ride (full of giggles and tears and safety pins and arguments and needles and more tears and more giggles) I am an Aunty to two amazingly beautiful little girls. One is two and one is about six weeks old as of March 2013. They are the greatest gifts in the world and I treasure them so much!! I love being a teen Aunty because it means I get to establish a great, strong relationship with my nieces before I go onto establish other relationships (marriage & kids, later on, of course). But sometimes it can be a bit hard. Most high school kids like me spend their weekends at the mall, seeing movies, going shopping, meeting cute boys. I spend my weekends playing Barbie kitchen with an adorable little kid who likes to make me sprinkle-filled pancakes. I love that, don't get me wrong. I'm just not your typical teenager. And trying to be one is where things gets difficult. But I love it. And i wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. Not even that cute boy in geometry class. ;)
