As a mom of 3 girls, I welcome the auntie buying the bras, in fact, my daughter's aunt did buy her first bra (well, training bra)... She also happens to be 10, but very developed for her age and it scares me to death!!! I' ve since bought her bras, but I just see my little baby fastforwarding to woman hood and it's very emotional for me. I told her aunt about this feeling and auntie was more than glad to help me out in this area...So for all you bra-shoppin'aunties from this momma, I proudly salute you and SHOP ON!

Funny experience bra shopping with nice ... but in reverse. I had been looking at bra's for me and was with my niece who was about 9 at the time. Later when we were having lunch at the department store cafe she blurts out Which is better - big boobs or small boobs? So hard to keep a straight face! lol How do you answer a question like that?

So I said in all my Aunty wisdom Thing thing about boobs is that girls who have small ones wish they had big ones, and the ones who have small ones wish they have big ones. She then informed me she hadn't made up her mind yet on which she wanted ... had to inform her it's not something you really have a choice in!

Come on, KirstyAnn, a SavvyAuntie knows that one ultimately does have a choice in this, and I'm sure even your young niece does, too.

Bra shopping is almost a rite of passage for a girl, so whether its a mother or an autie, I believe all young women deserve to be influenced by intelligent, adult women who use the opportunity to teach the girl/daughter/niece that her body is perfect, how to respect herself, and that Victoria's Secret models are airbrushed.
