Savvy and Single Aunties: Get Ready for 2013
Once the holidays hit, it is a whirlwind of festivities from Halloween to the New Year. Between the over-eating, shopping for our nieces and nephews, and holiday cheer with friends, it can knock the wind of out of a gal. If you are like me, you spend some serious time and energy on selecting the perfect present for your niece or nephew in December. Not that the gifts for other people in your life aren’t important, there is just something about watching the little ones light up when they get their perfect present. It is a sight that you will never forget.
Now that the presents have been bought and wrapped, it is time to get back to focusing on you. A new year is quickly approaching, and there are many things that you want to accomplish, right?! Instead of looking back on 2012 and focusing on what you should have or could have done, give yourself a pat on the back for the things that you did do. As a clairvoyant, the one thing that I know for sure is that everything happens when it is suppose to; so if you did not accomplish a goal/dream, know that it just was not the right time. Certain things still need to be aligned. A delay is not a denial. 2013 can be when it comes to fruition.
Make a List of Resolutions!
You can make a list of resolutions if a list is what gets your juices going. It is one of the best ways to ensure that you accomplish your goals. This way you can look at it and check things off as you go along.
Decide on Your New Year Theme.
How about selecting a theme for the year? What would yours be? Think out of the box since there is no right or wrong answer. Your theme can be as fierce, flirty, or fun as you want it to be. Your theme can be something that you do not share with anyone else. Just have it in your mind as you kick off the year and move forward.
Create a Vision Board.
An oldie but goodie is to create a vision board. Now you can create a vision board online, which is fine and dandy, but there is still something very delicious about having a vision board hanging up where you can see it every day. It can be the thing that you look at in the morning before you leave your home to motivate you for the day; or if you work at home, it can be the thing that guides your moves throughout the day so that you don’t get caught up watching Jerry Springer. You can add a picture of your niece or nephew to the board as an added boost of inspiration. Children remind us to be playful and to not take ourselves too seriously.
Share Your Goals with Someone Close.
If you have a good friend or someone in your life that you can partner up with to keep you on track with your goals, then reach out to them. It is always easier to stay on course when someone is holding you accountable.
There are amazing things waiting for you in 2013 if you stay open to the possibilities. Always look at what you have accomplished versus what you may lack. Everything that you desire shows up on time. Cheers to a happy and abundant new year!
