Acing the Breakfast Test

Breakfast is often thought of as the most important meal of the day, but a new study shows that it actually is.
Researchers at the University of Iowa found that free school breakfasts help kids from low-income families do better academically. Schools that participate in the School Breakfast Program typically score higher in math, science, and reading, than schools that don’t offer free breakfasts.
The next time your nieces or nephews stay over, make sure that they fuel up for the day with a good breakfast – not just to feed their tummies, but their minds, too!
