What It Is
Barbie has had many Dreamhouses over the years and the newest Barbie Dreamhouse has been updated with a modern, on trend look. Standing more than 3 feet tall, and measuring 4 feet wide, the Barbie-sized three- story house has many fun, interactive features, and accessories. There are eight rooms, a working elevator that fits four dolls, a pool with a purple slide, a garage, lights, sounds, and more. No dolls are included but there are 70 accessories including a puppy, furniture, and household items. The household items easily stay in place thanks to the plug-and-play design. Some of the furniture features two-in-one fun as the pieces double as other pieces of furniture, expanding the play possibilities. The couch becomes bunk beds, the coffee table flips into a bed for Chelsea, the refrigerator turns into an outdoor food stand, and more. There are also realistic house sounds to activate like a flushing toilet, an oven timer, and a sizzling or whistling stove top. Aspiring interior decorators will have fun setting up the rooms. Kids can then use their own Barbie dolls to explore the house, and act out fun storylines of every day life, as well as pool parties, barbecues, and slumber parties. Adult assembly of the Dreamhouse is required, and it took us 35 minutes to complete. Four AAA batteries are included.
Is It Fun?
This Barbie Dreamhouse has multiple play areas with eight rooms to choose from, interactive features, and comes with 70 accessories. There aren't any dolls included but the house is fun for kids to use their own Barbie dolls to play. Kids are sure to think this is a real dream house with its purple winding slide, pool that you can fill with actual water, elevator for four, and more. The house, and accessories offer great story starters for kids to act out scenarios of every day life, as well as pool parties, barbecues, slumber parties, puppy playtime, and more. The possibilities are endless as long as kids have the dolls to bring their stories to life. Realistic house sounds add to the fun. The house is big enough for multiple children to play together.
Who It’s For
The Barbie Dreamhouse is recommended for kids ages 3 years old and up. It will appeal to Barbie fans, and those who enjoy imaginative play with dolls. Since it is rather large in size at 4x3 feet, you will need a play area big enough to fit it.
What To Be Aware Of
Adult assembly is required. It took us 35 minutes to build. Four AAA batteries are included.
Real water can be added to the pool.
