Give your vocabulary skills a workout with an always-fun homemade Mad Lib!

Mad Libs are word games that requires at least two people. The first person creates a story, leaving some words blank, but noting the part of speech that should fill the spot. For example, your sentence might read, " Susie took a __ (noun) down the __ (adjective) street."

Then, without showing the story to the other participants, the first person asks the others to randomly choose words based on the blanks in the story. So the partner would only be asked to give a noun and an adjective based on the example above.

The first person then fills in the story's blanks with the supplied words and reads it aloud.

You can buy pre-printed books of these stories, or you can make up your own. Either way, it's a great way to pass a rainy day!
