Family Reunion Games
Family reunion games for nieces and nephews (and all members of the family)
Every year my family has two family reunions in one weekend. Saturday is my paternal grandmother's family, and Sunday is my paternal grandfather's family. Luckily, they are both local, so we go to both. It makes for a hectic, but fun, weekend. I love spending the days with my niece and my savvy aunties and savvy great-aunties!! Lots of fun is had by all!
Between the two days, here are some fun things we do for games.
We always have a peanut scramble - one for kids, then one for adults (so they feel like kids again!). We have also done a three-legged race, water-balloon toss, a cake walk - many of the old fashioned games. Depending on who is in charge of the games for that year, there has also been pinatas, relay races (things like carrying an egg on spoon and passing it without dropping it, emptying one bucket with a cup to refill another at the other end) and craft projects, which are great if you are forced indoors!
We also have a "Guess what's in the box" contest, and a "Guess how many candies in the jar" contest.
Prizes are also given for the Youngest Child Present, The Oldest Man and Woman Present, the Person Who Traveled the Farthest, Most Recently Married, and Longest Married. We just love to give away prizes!
