Designate a drawer in your house just for your nieces and nephews!

Put in it all things you don’t know what to do with, like broken phones, non working watches, keys that open nothing, promotional do-dads you don’t know what to do with, interesting boxes, dress up clothing and bags, key chains.

The kids can use the junk to put on a show, craft something, make up a story, etc. Kids will use their imaginations and figure out something to do with that stuff. And then it really wasn't junk after all.
