Long distance Aunties, there is no reason you can't read your niece or nephew a bedtime story.

For Aunties who can’t always be there at bedtime, record yourself reading stories onto a tape, cd or video.  If you can, send the book you are reading along with the recording so the child can follow along.

Ask the child which book is their favorite and record that one. Or choose your favorite from when you were a little girl.

Once mom and dad save the story onto their hard drive, your nieces and nephews can always request a bedtime story from their favorite Auntie. Sweet  dreams!
