There aren’t too many kids who like homework. And frankly, mom and dad aren’t always available to help. Why don’t you offer to help your niece or nephew with his or her homework?

If being there at homework time is too challenging, make a scheduled weekly call and work together over the phone. If you are a crafty auntie, help them with their first 3-D project. If you’re a digital diva, help them do their research online. And if you’re really great at science or math, help them with their first science project. Homework may not be the most fun activity, but it is a wonderful way to help.
