I think this'll be a fun year!
The other night our phone rang & my mother answered it. She told me to pick up the other extension; my 4 year old niece wanted to talk to me..So I pick it up & my she says "Hi Aunt Kathy!Thank you for the Disney giftcard! I'm gonna get 'Lady & The Tramp' with it!" Awww...SO cute! She's not normally a phone person & I could hear my sister in law coaching her in the background,but it was STILL sweet!
In a few days she & her parents will be down to visit for a week . So it'll be fun seeing them.
In early March my mom & I are going up to divide our time between my oldest niece's birthday (her birthday's the end of February.She'll be 12.) & the niece that I just mentioned (she'll be 5 the end of March)
Towards the middle of March my younger brother, his fiancee & their two kids (my nephew who's 2 & my niece who I haven't seen yet who'll be 6 months then) will be coming down. That should be fun! Then my older brother & sister in law are coming down AGAIN in March & we'll all be going to Disney World for my niece's 5th birthday (Both my mom's boyfriend & my older brother have time shares) HOPEFULLY I'll get to see my oldest niece more than the early March trip because she REALLY is a great kid & she & I have a special relationship. But she's in middle school now.
At the end of April we (my older brother,sis in law,niece who'll THEN be 5, my mom, her boyfriend & I ) will be going on a cruise Again I wish with all my heart that older niece could go :
a) because she LOVES cruises
b) because it'd be fun to have her there
But again there's the problem of school.
I'm not going to say anything to her about it. Why rub salt into the wound, right? She sure would love the ship though. It's the one that I was on last year when I saw Bowzer. It's the Oasis Of The Seas & it's GIGANTIC! It has a rock climbing wall & let me tell you all, that kid has NO fear in her whatsoever! Oh well..maybe someday her dad could take her on a ship like that.
