No one really knows the origins of this little ditty about spidey. But we do know that the little ones love it.

This one come with hand motions too. Cup your hands into two upside-down "u"s. Then wiggle your fingers to show the spider crawling up the water spout. Then, wiggle your fingers down like rain, then make that "he's safe!" gesture like a baseball referee at the word "washed." Open your arms wide as the sun comes out, and then the itsy bitsy spider crawls up the spout again....

The itsy bitsy spider
Crawled up the water spout
Down came the rain
And washed the spider out
Out came the sun
And dried up all the rain
And the itsy bitsy spider
Crawled up the spout again.
