With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, here are five simple ways to show the love!

1. The Little Loves

We all want to give our nieces and nephews the very best, but it’s often the small things that matter most. Give the kids you love something personal and meaningful, like a framed photo of a goofy day you spent together at the park, or “take them out to dinner” at home (theirs or yours!) for a meal of their choosing you cook together. Not only will you show them a different way to express your affection, but your wallet with fall in love with you, too.
 
2. Love of Chocolate

Need we say more? Whether you are telling your little one you love them with chocolate, or helping him or her handle a Valentine’s Day crush, a simple bar of chocolate is a classic way to handle this day when cupid isn’t around. Some might say there is no better love than the love of chocolate. After Auntie’s love, of course.
 
3. Send a Loving Valentine!

Whether you’re a Long-Distance Auntie or live closeby, send a Valentine’s Day Card to each of your little Valentines. Even with texts and Facetime, a card in the mail makes everyone feel special on Valentine’s Day.
 
4.  Love to Learn!

There is always a teachable moment. Grab your nieces and nephews and see what you can learn together about the history of Valentine’s Day and St.Valentine. Reading a book together is a great place to start.

5. Love yourself!

Yes, this day means showering your nieces and nephews with love and affection, but aunts need to remember to love themselves too! Every aunt can enjoy a little Galentine’s Day celebration.
