March 2, 2018 is the 114th birth anniversary of one of the favorite children's book authors of all time! Theodore Geisel, better known as Dr. Seuss to nieces,
nephews and Savvy Aunties of all ages, was born 114 years ago on March 2, 2004, and died on September 21, 1991 at the age of 87.
In his lifetime and posthumously, Dr. Seuss
published over 60 children’s books, including favorites like The Cat in the Hat, Green Eggs and Ham, Horton Hears a Who, How the Grinch Stole Christmas and The Lorax.
Here's to the memory of Dr. Seuss who has entertained and educated us all for decades - and likely many more to come.
Here's one of our favorite Dr. Seuss quotes.
“Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better it’s not.” -The Lorax
Here's hoping Savvy Aunties with younger nieces and nephews can find a way to celebrate by reading a Dr. Seuss book in person with the children - or with Facetime, Skype, or even over the phone!
