Superbowl Trends

As a Savvy Auntie, it is your job to stay on top of the latest fads—no matter how strange they may seem.
First there was planking, an activity consisting of lying face down in an unusual or incongruous location, with both hands along the sides of the body. A photograph must be taken of the participant and posted on the Internet as a fundamental part of the game.
Then there was owling, which was similar to planking, except the participant crouches down, and stares (like an owl) at a person or object. A photograph is also taken and posted on the internet. Brownie points are awarded for the more random the owling locations.
Now there is Tebowing. Savvy Aunties may know this new viral craze will probably hang around at least through Superbowl this coming Sunday, February 5, 2012.
The Tebowing phenomena is credited to Tim Tebow, a devout Christian and a truly religious man, who is also the starting quarterback of the Denver Broncos.
According to the official Tebowing website, the definition of Tebowing is, “to get down on a knee and start praying, even if everyone else around you is doing something completely different.”
So next time you want your niece or nephew to know how truly thankful you are to have him or her in your life, greet them at the front door and Tebow! Or maybe, they'll Tebow you, first.
