Kids are buzzing with football fever with the Superbowl XLIX between the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks just a few short days away on Sunday, February 1. If you're planning to watch the game with family or friends, you may need some savvy snack ideas.
We scouted some pretty cool and creative football themed ideas for you - and none are terribly difficult to prepare. For instance, with a few plain old cupcakes, a plastic sandwich bag, and some frosting, you and your little football fans can create football themed cupcakes. Keep their sweet tooth happy with even more treats. Stick a wooden spoon into store-bought ice cream sandwiches, add icing and touchdown! It's a football on stick! Kids not fans of sweets? Turn classic pigs in a blanket into Pigs in a Football by using a toothpick to create the stitching of the football on the dough.
Do the older kids (in all of us!) want make things a little spicier? Try a taco dip for the more grown up palates. Or, add even more spice with this hot sausage and jalapeno dip.
Whether they prefer something sweet or spicy, the Patriots or Seahawks, you're ready for game day!
