You'd think that sharing roughly 50 percent of their genes would mean that Emma Roberts and her famous Aunt, Julia Roberts, would be alike - but that's not so, according to director Joel Schumacher.

Hollywoodlife.com reports that the director, who has worked with both actresses on films such as Flatliners and the forthcoming Twelve, says that the two are very different when it comes to their acting styles.

But, when it comes to the characteristics that endeared Auntie Julia to the world, Schumacher admits that niece Emma shares them. He says the two are "gorgeous, fun, great laughs and big talent."

Schumacher has been acquainted with Emma since she was 17, when he interviewed her for Interview magazine due to his relationship with Auntie Julia. He's thought highly of her since then, saying "She was the first person I asked to be in [Twelve]."

Auntie Julia's latest film, Eat, Pray, Love, opens in theaters August 13.
