Pippa Middleton, the New Royal Sister Celeb-Auntie
Written By Savvy Auntie Staff Writers
Pippa Middleton, Princess Catherine's sister, was Maid of Honor at the Royal Wedding earlier today. Like her sister, Pippa wore Alexander McQueen. Here's how the Official Royal Website describes her gown:
Miss Philippa Middleton's dress was designed and created by Sarah Burton at Alexander McQueen. It is of a heavy, ivory satin-based crepe, with a cowl front and with the same button detail and lace trims as the Bride's dress.
Pippa also wore the role of Royal Wedding Auntie for the day beautifully too, making sure the young bridesmaids were ready for their official roles during the ceremony. The adorable braidmaids included Frace van Cutsem, (Savvy Uncle) Prince William's godchild. People.com reports the bridemaids were:
"Lady Louise Windsor, 7, William's first cousin on his father's side; the Hon. Margarita Armstrong-Jones, 8, William's second cousin; Eliza Lopes, 3, granddaughter of Prince Charles' wife Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall; and Grace van Cutsem, 3, godchild of Prince William"
Pippa is expected to be named Princess Catherine's Lady in Waiting.
