Amy Poehler Honors All Aunties

Written By Savvy Auntie Staff Writers
At the TIME 100 gala earlier this week, awardee Amy Poehler, a working mother, paid tribute to all Savvy Aunties by Choice and Relation:
I would like to take a moment to thank those people, some of whom are watching their children right now, while you’re at this event. Those are people who love your children as much as you do, and who inspire them and influence them and on behalf of every sister and mother and person who stands in your kitchen and helps you love your child, I say thank you and I celebrate you tonight.
Poehler, 39, is best known for her long stint as a key cast member on Saturday Night Live and for playing the quirky, adorable Leslie Knope on NBC's hit sitcom, Parks and Recreation. She left SNL while pregnant with her first son, Archie Arnett, with comedian-hubby Will Arnett, in 2008. The Arnett-Poehler family welcomed their second son, Abel Arnett in 2010. Since becoming a mother, it seems the funny lady has had a lot of support from the Auntie Village. One of Poehler's closest friends is Celeb-Auntie by Choice and fellow comedienne, Tina Fey.
Thanks for the shout-out Amy, we Aunties love celebrating Mommies too!
