Try Solutions, Not Resolutions, Auntie!
So 2011 is coming to an end, Savvy Aunties! This is when the “should-haves” and “could-haves” come to your mind as you start making resolutions for the upcoming year. Statistics show that people start off strong with their resolutions for a new year, but within a short period of time, resolutions are dropped and the same routine comes back into play. Here is a new approach:
instead of resolutions, create solutions. Solutions will help you go after your issue to create the change that you want to see in your life.
Besides spending holidays with your nieces and nephews, this time of year you may have love,
career, and body image on your mind. You may be craving changes in any one of those areas or maybe even all three. Here is some food for thought:
Love:
You thought you’d have the love of your life by now, so you are looking forward to finding Mr. Right in 2012. What you’ve been doing in the past has not worked. It is time to get down to see which solutions can bring you more options in your love life, which will in turn bring someone special into your life. There is nothing wrong with wanting to give your nieces and nephews a fabulous new uncle.
If you have been doing online dating, maybe you should trying getting out and about more. You should be going out at least twice a week if you want to meet someone. I know you are thinking “who has that kind time?” You do, because you are still looking for love. Save the “sitting at home and ordering in” routine for when you have the one you want to snuggle in with. Find ways to meet new people. When you have new people in your life it creates opportunities to do new things and go new places. Also start acting as if the man of your dreams is already in your life. That will give the universe signals to bring him to you physically. What you think about, you bring about.
A man is like a bus; there is another one coming. Keep your head up and your
heart open; true love is on the way.
Body Image:
People’s resolution around this time is normally to join a gym or to use the gym membership that has been collecting dust. Now that the holidays are almost over, you can put down the cookies and fattening food. Pick a nice juice cleanse to clear out all of that junk in your body. That will make you feel good and give you energy to want to go to the gym. If the gym is not your
bag of tea, sign up for Yoga, Zumba or a dance class. The goal is to get more activity into your life. Once you get going, it is easier to incorporate exercise into your schedule because you won't want to backslide. When you feel good, you look good.
Work:
Nobody likes to be at a dead-end job - not to mention a job that does not pay you enough for all the hats that you wear. You keep promising yourself that you will look for a new job, but hold back due to the bumpy economy.
In reality, there is never going to be good time to look for a job. Actually, the best time to change your career or to try something new is during a bumpy economy. Employers are more understanding if you are not with a job for a long period of time due to all of the circumstances that come in a bad economy. Maybe being around your nephews and nieces makes you want to work with kids, or perhaps you find that social media makes you happy. No matter what field you want to be in, look for a job you will love. The time is now.
The only thing holding you back is you. There is a solution to every issue that you have in your life. Look for solutions versus resolutions so that you keep your life going with the flow.
Resolutions are decisions to do something while solutions are answers or what I like to call "aha moments" that can open up divine feminine energy ready to show up not just in 2012, but as an ongoing factor in your life.
