Sometimes events happen in life that we’re never fully prepared for – like a loved one trying to overdose while pregnant. But WNBA star, Abby Bishop, then 24, took in her two-day old niece Zala and became her legal guardian. Bishop is now 26 and has taken care of 20-month old Zala ever since, playing basketball for the Seattle Storm and adjusting to life as a single mom.
