Hi!

Okay, so I'm new to all this. I just found out this past weekend that my sister is pregnant. It's exciting, but scary at the same time. I know ABSOLUTELY nothing about kids. I mean, I know I probably won't see this kid often as my sister lives out of state. But I still want to be the best aunt I can be. It's funny: for years I've been "auntie" to my sister's dog; now I'm gonna be an aunt for real. Hope the dog doesn't get jealous LOL! Anyway, I'm on here mostly to see advice.

You will love being an aunt, I became an aunt when I was only 17 years old and then again 18 months later when my sister had her second child. The only thing i Knew then was what I knew from babysitting from the time I was 12. Don't be nervous, The only advice I have for you is you will learn as you watch your niece or nephew grow up. And in my opinion as it was for me, being an aunt just comes naturally. :) Those instincts will kick in. And hey whose to say you haven't already been an aunt to some children without even knowing it? You may already be an aunt by choice :)
