I can totally relate. My brother (father of my one niece) has been hounding me about 'settling down'. However he nor many of my friends and family have bothered to introduce me to anyone. In fact one cousin told me 'I thought you weren't interested in meeting anyone!" What - because I'm happy, successful and enjoy my life and am not crying about being single publicly - that means I really want to be single? Totally illogical!

I can also relate. I am 10 years younger than both of my siblings and became an Aunt at 9, so I was a built in babysitter when the nieces and nephew were young. Because I was with them constantly as we were ALL growing up, the relationships that I have with them is priceless to me. However, as a 40+ year old Aunt, I have been left out of the Adult life for all of my life. The joke in my family is that I will forever be seated at the "kids" table. My brother and sister and their spouses are forever going to concerts and vacations together, it would be nice to be considered a fellow grown up.
